Snap the invoice, the service is logged.

A photo of a garage invoice, and the service is noted with its price. A photo of a fuel receipt, and the fill-up is in. It all happens on your phone.

In shortA photo or a PDF of an invoice fills in the service, a fuel receipt fills in the fill-up. Everything is read on your phone, and you check each value before saving.

One photo, and it is logged

  • A garage invoice, as a photo or a PDF: date, mileage, labour and total
  • A fuel receipt: litres or gallons, price per litre or per gallon, and the station
  • Nothing goes to a server: reading happens on your phone, and you approve each value
FAQ

Scanning

Does it read UK and US invoices?

Yes. Pistonbook understands English invoices and receipts from the UK and the US: "Balance Due", "Total (inc. VAT)", "Mileage", "Labour", prices in pence per litre or per gallon, and US dates written month first.

Are my documents sent to a server?

No. Text recognition (Google's ML Kit) runs on the phone and the images never leave it. The scan stays attached to the service, encrypted on your phone.

What if a value is read wrong?

Every value is shown before saving, so you can fix it. If invoices from your garage are often misread, write to us: it helps improve reading.

Your paperwork, logged in a photo

Scanning is offered as soon as you add a service or a fill-up.
